Teen pregnancy rates are decreasing

The U.S. teen pregnancy rate is at its lowest in decades. As the Associated Press noted, the birth rate for 15- to 19-year-old girls in 2009 was 39 babies per 1,000 girls — dramatically down from the 1957 peak of 96 per 1,000 girls. And fewer teens in recent years report having sex with four or more people, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Survey. How about a show called "16 and Not Pregnant"? (Shown here: a teen mom holding the feet of her 6-week-old baby.)
