Update Your Online Profile Frequently

Most dating websites put the more recently updated profiles at the top of their search results, which means that when someone new logs in, they see the "newest" profiles. But you can always be part of the most recent list, even if you've been on the site a long time simply by updating something on your profile frequently.

How often should you update it? Once a week for small tweaks like:

  • A new headline
  • Updates to your "favorites" list for books or movies
  • A new favorite quote you can use at the end of your profile

It's also a good idea to make larger changes about once a month, including:

  • At least one new photo
  • Keep any news items or references current
  • Check your search criteria to make sure it's set where you want it
  • Change the way you begin and end your profile

A few tweaks to your profile frequently will put you at the top of the search results for any new daters that log on to the system.
