Here's a fact that may surprise you: online dating is a means for introduction to a date, not a way to weed out people you don't want to date. Even so, don't let this deter you. If you use the search feature correctly, Internet dating can be the best way you have of meeting the exact right person for you.

Rather than limiting your choices, open them up instead. For example, you probably have some ideas about the type of income you'd like your mate to make. The problem is that one element of search criteria can't bring you a charming, sensitive, funny, wonderful guy or girl. In other words, if you limit your search to people making $100,000 or more, you'll miss out on someone that makes $40,000 and is so perfect for you it's ridiculous.
