What a wonderful thing it is to see people other than football fans or Wisconsinites get to know a little bit about Donald Driver. His latest stint (and win!) on Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) means that more folks got to see that competitive spirit and big smile every week, but here are five things you probably didn't know about him.
Driver has written three kid's books, which are based on his own childhood experience. Driver's mom called him "Quickie" when he was a kid because (surprise!) he was so fast she couldn't catch him. Driver took that concept and combined it with the stories he would tell his kids at bedtime, and viola, the "Quickie" series of books was born.
Currently driver has three books out: Quickie Makes the Team, Quickie Goes to the Big Game, and Quickie Handles a Loss. You can also find Quickie on a 2012 calendar.
