Andrew Johnson

Andrew Johnson (a former tailor who became president in 1865 after Abraham Lincoln's fatal shooting) and his wife, Eliza McCardle Johnson, had five kids during their 50-year marriage. They tied the knot when she was just 16. Eliza Johnson, a shoemaker's daughter, tutored her uneducated young husband in math and reading.
