Presidential candidate: Rick Santorum
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, 53, is a lawyer and former U.S. congressman and U.S. senator from Pennsylvania who is married to former nurse Karen Garver Santorum. She has homeschooled their six kids. (In 2006 Santorum lost his senate seat, in part because voters were mad that $73,000 in tax money went to tuition for his kids to attend an online cyber school even though they only lived in Pennsylvania one month of the year.) The Catholic lawyer strongly opposes gay marriage, which he has said "threatens the traditional values of this country."
