What is it that is so intriguing about John Luther (played by Idris Elba)? Is it his voice? His demeanor? The pain that is revealed on his handsome face?
Perhaps the appeal lies in the fact that you root for the good guy, who sometimes does bad things, but always with good intentions in mind. What's more, the rotten things he's done have consequences, and watching Luther deal with them is just as interesting as watching him take down the bad guys.
