We talked about the TV characters that give midlifers a bad name, but what those we love? Here are a few of our favorite television characters that represent midlife in a positive way.
Richard Castle (played by Nathan Fillion) is a crime novelist who needed a muse. He paired up with Kate Becket from the NYPD and got inspiration for a whole new series of books, which coincidentally you can buy in real life.
The TV show Castle calls up all the fun of the old detective shows of the 70s and keeps it modern with real life tie-ins with the main character's books. Castle is raising his daughter and living with his mother (although sometimes it seems like the other way around). Between writing books and solving murder cases, he still finds time to fall in love with Becket.
