If you're looking forward to being away from your spouse, it can signify a problem in your relationship. While separate vacations might allow you each to do the things you most enjoy (especially if you're both opposites), there is a problem if you put the vacation time above your spouse.

In other words, if you purposely schedule time away just to be rid of the hassle of talking about your problems or to avoid spending time with your spouse, that's a problem.
